VOTING FAQ

Do I need to do anything before Election Day?

Before Election Day in November, it’s a good idea to ensure that your voter registration matches the address where you’ll want to cast your vote. In many states, you cannot show up to the wrong polling place and expect to cast a ballot just because you’re registered — it’s got to be the polling place assigned to you based on your address.

I’m not sure if I’m registered to vote — is it too late?

Don’t panic! You may still have time to get your registration in. Deadlines vary by state and can be anywhere from requiring paperwork one month before Elections to allowing voter registration on Election Day.

Rules in your state

I’m registered, but haven’t voted in the last few elections. Should I be worried?

No cause for alarm! Your voter registration never expires — but it would be a good idea to ensure your voter registration is up-to-date with your latest address and information.
